Micro-chipping involves injecting a chip, the size of a grain of rice, under your pet's skin at the neck. The chip is then registered on a central database where all your details and your pet's details are stored. This is a legally required permanent identification, which allows the person scanning your dog i.e. dog warden/vet identify you the owner, should your pet ever become lost.
